This hotel is located outside the north-eastern corner of Gothenburg, approximately twenty five minutes’ walk from the city centre. Liseberg, the Swedish Exhibition Centre, Ullevi Arena and the city centre are all also within walking distance.

The Spar Garda Hotel is housed in a modern concrete building with large windows. Though the lobby is only medium sized with a small seating area, the hotel bar, which is accessible via large doors, creates a greater sense of space. Both the lobby and the bar feature red chairs and sofas in a typical contemporary Scandinavian style of furnishing. Pleasantly decorated with private showers and toilets, the guestrooms feature Scandinavian design with light wood and parquet floors. Warm-coloured textiles give them a cosy, homely feel. The dining room serves a comprehensive Scandinavian buffet breakfast. There’s a wide range of yoghurt, soured milk, cereals and cold cuts. Fruits and vegetables vary according to season. The hotel also boasts what it calls the "terrace of pleasure," a rooftop terrace where guests can dine or enjoy a drink from the SparBar during fine weather.
